Top 10 Reasons to Hire a Personal Trainer

1.
Motivation / accountability.  Perhaps the main reason given for hiring a personal trainer.  A fitness trainer can provide structure, direction, support and accountability to make sure that you succeed.

2. Better results. Working with a personal trainer is proven to get better results. If you're serious about achieving a fitness goal then a personal trainer can ensure that you get better results than you could training on your own.

3. Boredom. By ensuring that training sessions are appropriate for your personality and provide a balance of fun and variety, a personal trainer can make sure you never find your exercise sessions boring.

4. Illness or injury. If you have a medical condition or are recovering from an injury it is essential to work with someone qualified to ensure your training is safe and effective.

5. Training for a sport or event. Whilst a sports coach or golf professional can help you improve your skills, a personal trainer can help improve your body to be better equipped for the demands of your sport.

6. Supervision and support. Whether you want regular personal training sessions or someone you can call on less frequently, a personal trainer can help keep you on track.

7. Individual program. A personal trainer can take into account your goals, existing fitness levels and exercise preferences to devise an individual program. A one size fits all approach doesn't work. Just because an exercise program is featured in a magazine, or has worked for someone else, doesn't mean it's the most effective program for you.

8. Better use of time. Lack of time is the biggest reason cited for not exercising. A personal trainer can ensure that you get the most out of each workout and get maximum results in minimum time.

9. Improve technical skills. A personal trainer can help improve your exercise technique to ensure that your training is safe and effective.

10. New to exercise. Gain an understanding of what you should be doing. Be able to go to a gym, exercise class or other activity with the confidence that you already know what you are doing.
