Approach

I take an holistic approach to fitness, concentrating on the mind and diet as well as developing the body and taking account of each person's preferences.

Personality Profiling

I ask each client to complete a brief personaility profile to establish the methods, environment and approach that will work best. 

Bespoke Exercise Programmes

Following an initial meeting, I design a range of programmes for each client so that exercising remains interesting and there is a clear progression route.

Nutritional Advice

My approach to nutrition revolves around eating healthy natural foods. As a certified Metabolic Typing® Advisor I can advise clients on the most appropriate foods for them.  

Improving Technique

I help clients to improve their exercise technique and effectiveness, for instance through focusing on the correct form and most appropriate exercise. Whether using bodyweight, free weights, kettlebells or suspension training, correct technique is essential for safety and to ensure best results. I also offer training in skills such as barefoot running and Nordic Walking and incorporate nasal breathing techniques and mindfulness.

Adherence / Motivation

Developing the individual's motivation to exercise through setting process goals is an important part of the work. Process goals are extemely effective in motivating people to exercise and getting into the habit of being more active on a regular basis. A process goal breaks an overall goal - such as improving health or getting fit - into small, manageable steps. Once exercise has become a habit, then clients often chose to focus on specific challenges or goals, to keep them motivated.
