What we do

Personal Training is about training effectively to ensure that you get the most out of every training session and achieve your goals.

By assessing muscle balance and fitness levels we can ensure that each programme is specifically tailored to your needs. This makes sure that you do the right exercises to get results and avoid injury. 


Outdoor Training

Want to increase fitness levels, improve health or lose weight without stepping foot in a gym? Studies have shown that there are additional benefits to mental and physical well-being from exercising in a natural environment. 

Outdoor exercise sessions are tailored to your personal needs. Training may include Kettlebells, TRX Suspension training, Nordic Walking or running, as well as bodyweight exercises. 

Exercising with medical conditions

Regular exercise is proven to be beneficial for many medical conditions. Exercise can be effective preventing or managing many medical conditions including high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, osteoarthritis, stress and depression. Our trainers all hold specific Exercise Referral qualifications. We work with you to give you the confidence to be able to exercise safely in whatever activities you chose to take part in. We have specialist qualifications to work with clients with high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and as well as heart conditions and low back pain.

Personal Training Locations

Personal Training is available from the Galtres Fitness Centre in Easingwold and from homes in York and surrounding areas. We offer a free consultation to discuss your personal training requirements.

Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking is a great way to improve health, mobility and cardiovascular fitness.  Nordic Walking is available in groups of through one to one personal training sessions.  For details of Nordic Walking classes and group walks please see our separate site www.yorknordicwalking.co.uk.
